Management:
Mike Boss- General Manager.
Mike began his landscape career as a plantsman. He graduated from Vassar College with a BS in Biology (botany concentration) in 1980 and went of to complete a MS in Plant Ecology from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry in 1985. He completed his formal education with a Master in Education degree from the University of Massachusetts in 1986. Mike currently sits as a member of the Urban Forestry Council for the city of San Francisco, and is the Chair of the Landmark Tree Committee.

Jim Polentz- Controller and Office Manager
Jim is a seasoned accounting and financial manager with more than twenty years experience as controller and chief accounting officer. He joined Rock and Rose + Birkmyer in December 2006. Jim has worked in both public and private companies, most recently as Controller of Western Career College. Jim earned a BS Degree in Accounting from the University of Southern Califronia in 1966 and an MBA from California State University Long Beach in 1971. and is a CPA with over seven years at Price Waterhouse.
