Job Description
Foreman must lead a landscape construction crew with 2 or more assistants. Be able to read and interpret plans, so that the team can build accordingly, as specified by the designer or architect's design.
Foreman must be able to lead and accurately perform site layout tasks, identify major and minor elements of each job, lead the team and stay on target for all work and project expectations, including work to be done by other general and subcontractors
Foreman must be able to lead and accurately install project elements -- masonry, concrete and wood landscape elements and features, including patios, decks, steps and walls, and other garden structures. As well as drainage and irrigation systems, water features and low voltage lighting.
Foreman must be able to lead and effectively execute soil work and planting plan --Have significant horticultural knowledge and plant identification will be necessary to lead and perform tasks in soil preparation, laying out planting plans, properly arranging and installing large trees, shrubs, bedding plants, ground cover plantings and sod lawns, as well as planters and vertical garden features.
Foreman must be able to lead and actively add value and team connection to project success -- Each team must be capable of working together, identify and utilize full range of skill sets new and old, through understanding big-picture expectations. Awareness of quality control, training, and mentorship is expected, and is key for maintaining a high level of craftsman on all jobs
Foreman must be able to lead and promote effective and positive communication on the jobsite: problem solve, engage project manager, designers, architects, clients, and other team members, in finding solutions to material, technical and logistical challenges, while being aware of time management and budget budget requirements, and the need for accurate job records.
Requirements
Requires 7+ years working in residential landscape construction and possibly other related construction fields. have worked or have exposure and knowledge of all aspects of the project construction build cycle, and able to execute most project details with highest level of mastery and craftsmanship including: masonry, concrete and wood landscape elements and features, including patios, decks, steps and walls, and other garden structures. As well as drainage and irrigation systems, water features and low voltage lighting.
And be capable of managing time and materials well, and prove capable of leading a team of skilled and general laborers.
